Shandong Sun Paper Co., Ltd. is making steady progress on a major new production project, and Eurocrane — a key material handling partner to the paper industry — has delivered several Overhead cranes and a full material handling system to support it. The equipment will handle paper roll transport and support equipment maintenance on the line, helping keep Sun Paper's production base running efficiently.
The new paper machine, supplied by Voith, has an 8.66-meter width, a designed annual capacity of 700,000 tons, and a top operating speed of 1,400 meters per minute.
Papermaking plants run their equipment hard, so cranes need to hold up to continuous, high-frequency use without downtime — the reliability of this equipment has a direct impact on both safety and output across the whole line. Eurocrane has spent years focused specifically on material handling for paper mills, and understands the practical demands of paper machine maintenance, roll transport, and pulp storage. The company already works with several of China's leading paper producers and has built a strong track record and reputation in the industry.
For this project, the cranes come equipped with several layers of safety technology — overload protection, electronic anti-sway control, and zone limiting — to reduce the risk of swinging or collisions while moving paper rolls. This protects both personnel and equipment, and meets the paper mill industry's strict safety requirements. The cranes are built for reliable, low-maintenance operation, cutting down on unplanned downtime and helping keep the line running continuously — which also means lower operating costs for the customer.
Eurocrane offers both standard and custom crane solutions across the paper mill industry, covering everything from packaging paper to tissue products. The company plans to keep working closely with paper mill industry partners, providing dependable material handling equipment to support the sector's continued growth
