Eurocrane hosted a conference on collaborative innovation in IP and standards for intelligent automated lifting technology was successfully held in the FOHO High-Tech Zone, Suzhou. Representatives from government agencies, industry standardization experts, IP specialists, and players across the lifting equipment supply chain gathered to explore new ways of integrating IP and standards to drive innovation, helping the high-end equipment sector develop new quality productive forces.

At the conference, participants unveiled the Intelligent Automated Lifting Technology IP and Standards Collaborative Innovation Center and released the charter for its alliance. Together, these mark the launch of the first physical platform in China’s lifting equipment industry dedicated to joint IP and standards innovation, now based in the Fenhu High-Tech Zone in Suzhou.

As smart manufacturing advances, intelligent lifting equipment is increasingly used in new energy, high-end manufacturing, and smart factories. These new technologies and business models place greater demands on IP protection and on the supply of industry standards. Serving the national lifting equipment supply chain, the new center will use the alliance to bring together government, leading companies, standardization experts, and IP service providers. It will focus on key areas including intelligent material handling, coordinated multi-unit operations, remote operations and maintenance, and green handling solutions. Its goals are to turn high-value patents into association, industry, and national standards, and to engage actively with ISO’s international standardization work, so that Chinese technical rules for lifting equipment can reach global markets.
